Court detains man for kidnapping own children

Court president, Omolara Abiola told Linus to stay clear of his children as he is not allowed to see them at will.

Israel Linus, a 42-year-old man has been detained by the Ikorodu customary court for kidnapping his children following a ruling in favour of his wife, Mary.

According to Vanguard News, the president of the court, Omolara Abiola had initially granted Mary custody of their two offspring after determining that Linus had been an irresponsible father.

He was warned against going after the children following the court decision but has refused to comply.

Court president Abiola revealed that the children managed to disclose their location to their mother via a phone call.

Until the final hearing of the case already fixed for March 17, 2017, the court has ordered Linus to desist from visiting the children until further notice.
