Oloye, of no fixed address, is facing trial on a two-count charge of joint act and theft.

The defendant, who denied the charges, was admitted to bail in the sum of N20, 000 by the Upper Area Court Judge, Mr Umar Kagarko.

Kagarko also ordered the defendant to produce a reliable surety in like sum who must reside within the jurisdiction of the court, adjourning hearing to May 8.

The prosecutor, Mr Fidelis Ogbobe, had told the court that Stephen Angel of Gwagwalada, reported the matter at Wuse Zone 3 Police Station on March 14.

He said that the complainant alleged that on the same date, the defendant, with one other now at large, “broke into his Golf 2 car and stole his car stereo and N10, 000’’.

“The car was parked at Wuse Zone 5 bus stop,’’ Ogbobe said.

He said the offence was contrary to Sections 79 and 287 of the Penal Code.
