The accused, who lives in Ori-Odo area of Bodija, Ibadan, is facing a two-count charge of breaking into premises and stealing.
Scavenger arraigned for alleged break-in, theft of N7, 500 machine parts
28-year-old scavenger has been remanded in jail for breaking in and theft of machine parts worth N7,500.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Olalekan Adegbite, said Yunusa allegedly broke into Mak Precious Engineering Ltd, Barika, on March 16 at about 6.30 a. m. with the intent to steal.
He told the court that the accused stole some parts of a molding machine valued at N7, 500 belonging to Mr Kunle Majekodunmi, the Manager of the company.
Adegbite alleged that the accused had scaled the fence into the premises, claiming to be searching for disused iron rods.
He said the accused was, however, caught by the security guard on duty.
The offences contravened Sections 390 (9) and 413 (1) of the Criminal Code, Laws of Oyo State 2000.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accused pleaded guilty to the charge of breaking into premises, but pleaded innocence of the offence of stealing.
He was, however, remanded in Agodi prison on the orders of the Senior Magistrate, Mrs Patricia Adetuyibi.
Hearing in the case has been fixed for March 16.
