8-year-old boy drowns in Canal

The father of the deceased, Chainarong Faramee, 42, notified police that his son was missing on Sunday, April 30.

Efforts to resuscitate the young boy proved abortive

The child identified as Tawan Faramee was reportedly found in Klong Bang Sao Thong in Tambon district, at about 7.30am.

The reports reveal that the father of the deceased, Chainarong Faramee, 42, notified police on Sunday evening that his son was missing.

He told the police that Tawan normally stayed with relatives in Mukdahan but was visiting with him during the school holidays.

The Nation reports that Tawan had stormed out of the house in a temper after his mother upset him.

The couple thought the boy would return after he had the chance to calm down but when he failed to come back home by Sunday evening, they became worried and notified the police.

The remains of the child was spotted by neighbours the following morning.

May the soul of the departed rest in peace.
