1 dead, 14 injured after nightclub shooting in Ohio
According to Reuters, citing authorities, one shooter was in the run hours after the incident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, March 26.
It was not immediately clear what motivated the shooting.
The Cincinnati Assistant Police Chief Paul Neudigate, however, said that "there are no indications this incident is terrorism related."
"The conflict is believed to have begun between specific groups or individuals earlier in the day, escalating and ultimately leading to this tragedy occurring at the nightclub," City Manager Harry Black said in a statement.
Black said the club has a history of gun violence, making reference to two shootings in the parking lot in 2015.
"At this point it's unclear exactly what instigated the shooting. Just a lot of chaos when the shots went off," Reuters quoted Captain Kimberly Williams to have said at a televised briefing.
The shooting came less than a year after a gunman opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people.
The attack was described as the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.
