A Lagos civil servant whose wife chased away from his house and later got pregnant for another man has dragged her to a court.

PM Express reports that the 45-year-old Taliat, a civil servant, narrated in the court presided by Magistrate Akeem Fashola how his wife chased him away from their matrimonial home and brought her lover who impregnated her and they are living in the house he rented.
Taliat said he had been living peacefully with his wife for many years before she suddenly changed.
He added that throughout the years they lived together as husband and wife, Shakirat she was unable to get pregnant but trouble started when, sometime last year, he returned from work and met his wife and her lover inside their bedroom.
When he asked to know who the intruder was, his wife’s attitude changed the next day when she changed the entrance key to the apartment and refused to allow him to enter when he got back from work.
He was to learn that his wife had been impregnated by the same lover and since April 2016, when she chased him away, she had not allowed him to enter the apartment.
Taliat said he reported the matter to the police and every effort by the police to make his wife change her mind failed and he decided to drag her to the court.
When the charge was read to Shakirat, she pleaded not guilty and Magistrate Fashola granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum, but she is to remain in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail condition, while the matter was adjourned to April 30, 2017, for continuation of trial.
