Geoffrey Matheri ‘Fongo’ shocked many after confessing to the gory murder of Miriam Wairimu on August 29, 2008 at Kihoto area in Naivasha.
He revealed that he had a rapacious appetite for human flesh and blood and would decapitate and eat and also drink blood from his victims. Something which one of his victims Naomi Wanjiru revealed in a Nakuru court after escaping from Matheri’s deadly clutches. The lady said that Matheri raped her, drugged her and drained blood from her body before eating a lady named Esther.
"He stabbed and drained blood from me into a metallic cup, but I was too weak and helpless. He then proceeded to chew Esther’s flesh and used my blood as his drink. ” she said in a chilling revelation.
Despite his confession and his victims’ confessions, Fogo was released after four years for ‘lack of strong evidence’ but upon his release, angry villagers in Rwanyambo Village in Kinangop attacked him leaving him hospitalised.
Miles away from Kenya, a woman in Brisbane Australia has confessed to being a vampire. And like those age-old vampires before the times of ‘Twilight’ and ‘Vampire Diaries’, she drinks blood and doesn’t walk in the sunlight.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia make-up artist Georgina Condon said that her desire for blood started at 12 years old where she would suck her own blood from scabs, but in time she found willing victims who have a bizarre need to have their blood sucked.
Currently she sucks blood from her boyfriend once a week by cutting him with a razor and sipping from the dripping wound. A process which she says is as intimate and as pleasurable as coitus. "It is a form of high that can't be exactly described." she explained.
The blood-drinking allegedly helps her manage her Thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of haemoglobin.
In addition, she suffers from solar dermatitis. If exposed to the sun for long periods, the lady claims that she suffers from an allergic reaction which results to an itchy red skin rash. So she avoids the sun altogether like a vampire.
