Political analyst Arnold Maliba has advised Deputy President William Ruto to take a two-week bed rest to ensure that he regains his political energy.
Maliba opined that Ruto’s interview on Sunday night showed a man who looked tired and in need of renewed energy.
“The DP’s handlers should recommend two weeks bed rest. He looks tired. He needs rest so he repackages and comes back,” the analyst stated.
“Our relationship with the Chinese...he (DP Ruto) didn't speak to that. Hope is not a strategy and that is what the DP was trying to give to us,” Maliba said.
He also noted Ruto’s claim that the SGR would break even by the end of the year, was fallacious.
In recent weeks, the DP has widely traversed the country in what appears to be an early campaign for the 2022 presidential campaign.
Over the weekend alone, he visited the Kwale, Kakamega, and Nairobi counties for various functions.
