A bodyguard on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s security detail made a mistake that saw the Head of State almost fall down in public.
Mr. Kenyatta who had just landed in South Africa was getting out of his car but his bodyguard opened the vehicle’s door while standing on the wrong side. This left the door to swing back, hitting Kenyatta who was busy buttoning his coat while exiting the car.
In a video shared widely, President Kenyatta is seen destabilized by the abrupt impact for almost a mini-second before another bodyguard runs to hold the door.
Kenyan reactions
Kenyans who saw the video were prompt to criticize the bodyguard with some stating that it was unprofessional.
President Kenyatta is in South Africa for a three day state visit.
