President Uhuru Kenyatta as admitted that his party was under prepared for the primaries that were rocked with confusion and chaos.

The President who was addressing the Nation at State House said that the printed nomination papers were not enough to accommodate all the members who turned out for the primaries.

He also assured Jubilee supporters that they will be no favourism in the rescheduled Jubilee primaries.

Uhuru who was answering a question asked by a journalist, stated that they have no preferred candidates in their Party and therefore the people will decide who will be their flag bear at different levels.

Early Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago had claimed that the deputy President has a list of preferred candidates that will be handed with the Jubilee certificates to run in the general election.

According to president Uhuru the Jubilee Primaries had to be cancelled country wide due to what he termed as under preparations.

“We did not expect such a big number to turn out for the Jubilee nominations, and therefore our materials were not enough to accommodate everybody and that why we had to cancel the whole process and plan again,” said Uhuru Kenyatta.

Asked whether he still have confidence in his team to run a repeat of the failed primaries President Uhuru said he has no doubt and his team will deliver.

“I believe in my team under the leadership of Raphael Tuju that they will conduct the Primaries in a fair and transparent manner across the country,” said the president.

The Jubilee primaries were called off after they were rocked with confusion and chaos in almost all the polling stations.

The Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju and other senior officials in the party were summoned to state house to explain the chaos that rocked the nominations.

President Uhuru insisted that even those places that had voted, will have to undergo the process again to clear all the tensions from aspirants.

The Jubilee primaries has been rescheduled for next week monody and Tuesday.
