Linus Kaikai loses influential position

He was recently appointed RMS Director of Strategy and Innovation

Former NTV boss and current Royal Media Services (RMS) Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai has quit from his influential position.

Kaikai announced through his twitter account on Saturday morning that he was leaving the Kenya Editors Guild where he has been serving as Chairman since 2014.

He added that it was an honor serving the Editors Guild and that he was proud of their collective achievements under his leadership.

“I thank the Kenya Editors Guild for the opportunity I had to serve as Chairman. It was truly an honor. I exit, proud of our collective endeavors in the interest of true journalism. I wish the Editors well in the journey ahead.” Said Linus Kaikai’s tweet.

The Kenya Editors Guild is set to have a special meeting on Saturday to address serious crisis it is facing including deregistration by the registrar of societies.

In the meeting called by the Editors Guild assistant secretary Hassan Kulundu, the main agenda of the sitting is to elect new leadership.
