Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has been warned against attacking Senator Moses Wetangula and subjecting him to unnecessary embarrassment.
Speaking in Bungoma, Devolution CS Eugene Wamalwa warned that the attacks will not be taken lightly and urged the party to stop belittling and hurling insults at Wetangula for failing to subscribe to their political ideologies.
“Let nobody belittle Wetang’ula, he deserves respect and we shall not take it lightly when some people continue attacking him,” Wamalwa said.
The CS stated that Jubilee was more than willing to welcome the Senator and urged him to “ignore the detractors and join hands with us in Jubilee”.
Wamalwa was supported by Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa who stated that due to the constant attacks and belittling of the senator, time is ripe for the senator to ditch NASA.
“It is high time Wetang’ula pulled out of NASA once and for all, it is unfortunate to see individuals in ODM belittle him,” Barasa said.
Wetangula recently announced that his Ford-Kenya party would ditch NASA but retracted the statement shortly afterwards.
Wetangula’s political confidants have hinted at an alliance with DP William Ruto, with politicians from both camps warming to each other.
