Former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama was on Monday arrested over alleged hatespeech.

Muthama was nabbed by police officers in Kangundo and is expected to be taken to Pangani cells later in the day.

It is not clear what the NASA leader had done or uttered that landed him on the police's radar.

Muthama was arrested after Gatundu South MP was similarly arrested after he made Facebook posts that were deemed as inciteful.
