The Jubilee Party has been forced to explain the whereabouts of their Secretary General Raphael Tuju following his disappearance from the Limelight.
The former Rarieda MP has been quiet since the October 26 repeat polls, an act that prompted people to start questioning his whereabouts.
The vocal Jubilee leader, had threatened Kenyans with a rare political Hibernation, leaving Kenyans guessing what he has been up to.
This prompted a local daily to do a story questioning the sudden silence since the repeat polls.
After the speculations on social media and the story on the daily, President Uhuru Kenyatta's party has responded stating that Tuju had been out of the country.
“SG Raphael Tuju got back into the country yesterday from Kigali, Rwanda where he had gone to represent @JubileePartyK in the Rwanda Patriotic Front @rpfinkotanyi 30th anniversary celebrations” wrote Jubilee Party through their Official Twitter Handle.
Tuju who is President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ally, is expected to be rewarded after his efforts of sending Jubilee in office for the second term paid off.
Tuju took over as the Jubilee Secretary General from Veronica Maina who was in office on an acting capacity.
The changes were made during a National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting chaired by Uhuru and his deputy, William Ruto, at State House.
