The NMG driver who was delivering newspaper rammed into a lorry at Maungu area and died on the spot.
Confirming the incident Voi County County traffic boss Silas Wanyonyi divulged that the NMG driver was overtaking when the accident happened.
The driver was with his colleague, who sustained serious injuries. The latter was rushed to Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi where he is undergoing treatment.
“There were two occupants in the vehicle and one died on the spot. The driver was overtaking a vehicle in front when he collided head on with the oncoming lorry,” Mr Wanyonyi was quoted by the Nation.
