Firefighters have warned of the dangers of mishandling tools after a mans genitals became trapped in a ring spanner.
Crews were called to assist A&E staff with a patient at Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport, south Wales. They had to use their cutting equipment to remove the steel tool.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service issued a warning on social media afterwards.
"If you're using tools, make sure you're handling as the manufacturer recommends," it tweeted.

7-inch toy
Doctors discovered a 7-inch plastic sex toy stuck in the bladder of a man who came to hospital when he started peeing blood.
When he finally did visit a doctor, he told them he had got into trouble while engaging in 'urethral play'.

Jiann Bang-bing, head of urology at Kaohsiung Veterans General Hospital in Kaohsiung, Taiwan said the plastic rod measured 20cm (7.87 in) long and 1cm (0.39 inches) wide.
The patient claimed he was pleasuring himself when he accidentally inserted the device into his bladder.
A routine cystoscopy - an endoscopic procedure into the man's bladder - helped remove the toy, which had already caused inflammation and blood in his urine.
