According to Shujaas coach Innocent Simiyu they will be focusing on emerging top in their pool despite being in a tough pool.

Determined

“The key thing with this pool is that we have to qualify…because the teams that we play are all in the jam…any good performance in any of the two upcoming tours can lift us to the top eight.” Said Innocent Simiyu.

Simiyu added that it was unfortunate that they lost one game while in Las Vegas making them not to qualify.

“We were quite unfortunate in Las Vegas, we only lost one game. We should have been able to qualify, but it’s the nature of the game.” said Simiyu

The Hong Kong sevens will see a total of 28 teams playing across the three days.

The sevens will also feature World Rugby Women’s series Qualifier, where a total of 40 International teams will participate.
