The call that forced Raila to skip NASA rally on Sunday

Raila was expected to attend the Baba Dogo rally on Sunday but failed to grace the event.

Siaya Senator James Orengo has disclosed why Raila Odinga missed NASAs Baba Dogo rally in Nairobi County on Sunday.

According to Orengo, Odinga received a call at the last minute to meet envoys but had initially planned to grace the event. "Baba had planned to be here but he has called me to say he is in a meeting with ambassadors to discuss key issues of his swearing-in and his government," he stated.

The lawyer failed to give more details on the said meeting between the former premier or the rest of the NASA principals.The Opposition leader was sworn-in as the 'people's president' on Tuesday last week.

Kalonzo Musyoka skips Raila's swearing-inHowever, his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were conspicuously missing at the swearing-in.This has seen a section of leaders from NASA brand the three leaders 'cowards' and question their loyalty to the Opposition.

This has seen the arrest of Miguna Miguna and Tom Kajwang, who took part in administering the oath, although the latter has been released.
