Keitany, Kipchoge and Kirui nominated for prestigious Best Marathon Runner Awards

Kenyan champion, Eliud Kipchoge took to Twitter on Thursday to thank his fans for their support after he got the Association of International Marathons (AIMS) Best Marathon Runner Awards.

The gala is set to recognise the world’s best long distance runners and will be held in Athens on November 11.

Our other champion, Geoffrey Kirui will be giving the BMW Berlin Marathon winner a run for his money as he has also been nominated for the AIMS Best Marathon Runner Award.

Kirui won the 2017 IAAF World Championship Men’s Marathon.

The female award has Rose Chelimo, Kenyan-born Bahraini long distance runner and winner of the 2017 IAAF World Championship Women’s Marathon.

Also contesting for the prestigious award is Kenya’s Mary Keitany who won the 2017 London Marathon.
