1.Boil the meat with salt and mixed spices until tender.

2.Crush the garlic and ginger in a pestle and mortar.

3.In a sufuria, add enough oil and cook onions until golden brown.

4.Add the crushed garlic and ginger, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, cumin powder, cloves and salt. Mix well.

5.Add the boiled beef in the mixture and stir. Cook for a few minutes.

6.Add the rice followed by boiled water (depending on the amount of rice you used).

7.Cover the meal and cook under low heat for about 15 minutes until all the water is absorbed and rice is properly cooked.

8.Serve with kachumbari and enjoy.
