How Uhuru’s surprise birthday party went down [Photos]

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta was treated to a surpsise birthday party as he turned 64 years old on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Friends and relatives came together to organise the party behind Uhuru’s back.

His wife, Mama Margaret Kenyatta was part of the plan which remained hidden from the former President as he was led to the venue of the surprise party, unaware of what awaited him.

The retired President could not hold back his emotions when he walked into the surprise with friends and relatives trickling in.

Photos taken at the event show the former President holding his mouth as the pleasant surprise unfolded.

Another photo captured the magnitude of the surprise with Uhuru holding his head as he absorbed the joy of the moment.

Friends and relatives made merry with the former president cutting a cake to mark the joyous occasion and step into the next year of his life.

The venue was tastefully decorated in gold and white colours with and golden lights that set the tone for an evening of celebration.

The man of the moment stepped out in a blue shirt with African print and black pants.

His wife donned a stylish dress with white and blue patterns a matching headgear and a matching pearl necklace to complete the look.

Earlier in the day, Kenyans flooded social media with warm birthday wishes celebrating Uhuru as he turned a year older.
