This is one blackhead that's stuck like glue. In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka, dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD removes a huge sticky blackhead from a patients back. The growth looks like a hard little pebble dragged out of the patients skin, making it a super satisfying removal.
In the clip, Dr. Lee nicks the blackheads surface to widen its opening, making it easier to extract. She then uses a comedone extractor to push down on the blackhead, forcing its compacted contents out. To remove all of the sticky blackhead in one motion, Dr. Lee drags the comedone extractor across the skin, pulling the contents cleanly out of the pore. Whats left behind is a huge crater where the blackhead once festered.
In a Yoda-like comment, one fan wrote, Oh boy, that big old blackhead has been camping out there in that back for years! Hard as a rock, it was! One fan simply wrote, Oh Mylanta! Yep, that about sums it up.
A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oil, which forms a black "head" when exposed to air. The white portion of a blackhead is actually the same material as the black cap, only this material hasn't been oxidized to create a black coloring.
