You simply cannot officiate an engagement without a well thought out engagement photo shoot.
While there are many couples who prefer not to have an official engagement shoot, in my opinion, engagement shoots should be a must for modern couples. This is a chance for you to familiarize yourself with the photographer who you could also use for the wedding day; think of it as a test shoot for the main wedding. This will also give you time to bond and connect as you strike poses during the photo shoot. Plus we could all use stunning professional photos right? And you could kill two birds with one stone and use the photos as a 'save the date' card when sending out wedding invites and also for memorabilia; you wanna keep the memories to show your kids when they're all grown and tell them your engagement story. Plus, a photography package is affordable since there are so many talented photographers out there.

There are many proposal shoot themes to choose from, from cheeky story line inspired photo shoots to something avant garde. Most African couples prefer to wear matching clothes and simply have a studio or outdoor photo shoot which is still good enough, if you're dealing with a professional photpgrapher.
One Ghanaian couple, Esi and Ben decided to take to the streets in matching outfits for a stunning engagement shoot. In the photo series, Esi gets absolutely gobsmacked after Ben fishes out the ring. The couple also has an outfit change to add some sparkle to the shoot. Esi changes from the jeans and shirt look into a sexy red romper with an overskirt. And finally, they both change into football jerseys that had read "Together Forever". How cute!
