Before Abby Lee Miller was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and learning to walk again, she was in prison-kind of hard to remember, right?

A little backstory: Abby Lee was sentenced to a year in jail after she was convicted of bankruptcy fraud in 2017. She was indicted and charged for hiding $775,000 of her earnings in, and was keeping money in various accounts and having friends travel with a total of $120,000 in their luggages on her behalf. So uh, yikes.

Abby was released from prison in March 2018 after her yearlong sentence-but months later, she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Now, Abby is offering up advice for fellow stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin , given that they might spend some time in prison for being a part of a college admissions scandal-you know, when they, along with about 50 other people, either cheated on standardized tests or bribed coaches or school officials to accept their (non-athletic) children as athletes to get into college.

In a new interview with TMZ Live , Abby recommended that Felicity and Lori make friends with other inmates. And, good news for both women: Apparently, being a star can have its perks; Abby said her fellow inmates loved the Hollywood stories she told.

You know, the girls in prison are some of the best people you are ever going to meet, seriously, she said. They gave me the shoes off their feet, the clothes off their back- literally. And theres not one of those dance mothers who would ever do that, not at all. And these were strangers.

Abby said that many of the women were her fans, and she expects the same would be true for Felicity and Lori. I think if you just befriend them, and you share your stories with them, then theyll share their stories with you. And some of them are very interesting, she said.

Of course, prison has a downside-sometimes especially when your'e a star, according to Abby Lee. She says the guards were "rough" with her.

"You give a person power, you give them a gun, a set of keys...they have the right to do whatever they want," she said. Vandalizing your property, spilling drinks all over your clothing for the heck of it, knocking your belongings over, throwing them on the floor. One of the monsters said, 'You cant talk to me like you talk to those kids on television.'"

Sheesh. Just something to keep in mind, ladies.
