Jubilee MP threatens to slap Murkomen

Angry MP warns Murkomen

A Jubilee MP has threatened to slap Senate Majroty Leader Kipchumba Murkomen over what he termed as disrespect to the President.

Juja MP Francis Waititu said he was extremely angered by Murkomen’s comments and threatened to physically beat up the Senator.

“I personally do not agree with Murkomen and that’s why I might slap him very hard If I meet him. Insulting the President is a very big crime as he is the head of state,” Waititu said.

The Juja MP called on Deputy President William Ruto to tame Murkomen and other Rift Valley leaders who have made comments that appear to have been directed at President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Controversial statements

Murkomen has in the past two days come under fire after he made controversial statements regarding the ongoing evictions in Mau forest.

The Senator blamed the Mau evictions on “new people who joined the government through the window” and who made an “MoU with other crooks”.

The statements appear to have been targeted at ODM leader Raila Odinga’s handshake deal with President Kenyatta, but the Senate Majority Leader has insisted that his speech had nothing to do with the former Prime Minister.
