President Uhuru Kenyatta has promised to finish tarmacking the road leading up to the late Biwott’s Secondary School and provide a new school bus to Biwott Boys’ secondary school.

The president was speaking at the late Nicholas Biwott’s burial in Elgeyo Marakwet where he eulogized Biwott as a diligent and hardworking man during the time when they worked together.

“Take courage in the knowledge that nobody throws stones at a tree that bears no fruits; they only throw stones at the tree that has fruit. Nicholas Biwott was a tree that had fruit that will bear for this country for many, many, many years to come,” he said.

The late Biwott died onTuesday, July 11 at the Nairobi hospital after a long illness.

The 77 year-old was a business mogul and ranked among Kenya’s wealthiest individuals.

He owned vast properties including Yaya Centre, HZ Group of Companies, LZ Engineering, Lima Kenya (which he co-owns with Mr Moi), Premier Group of companies and Kobil Petroleum, among others.
