President William Ruto has made further changes in his government, bringing on board allies of both retired President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.
The changes were announced via a notice issued on Friday with several politicians making a comeback.
A total of nine appointees, including former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and former former Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria were named for various positions at the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), the Executive Office of the President, and other top governance positions.

The appointments within the Executive Office of the President seek to augment the complement of personnel supporting the Head of State and Government in fulfilling the profound mandate vested in the nation's foremost office.
These appointments have been made based on the recommendations of the Public Service Commission and in line with the laws governing each public office, as applicable.

Renowned scholar Prof. Adams Oloo has been appointed to serve as the Advisor of Strategy and Communication in the Head of State’s Council of Economic Advisors, with President Ruto naming Gerald Nyaoma Arita as the new CBK Deputy Governor.
Peter Kenneth & Mwangi wa Iria back in govt
Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth will now chair the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) with former Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria named the Chairperson of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board.
The appointments also saw Bruno Oguda Obodha take up a new role as the East African Portland Cement Managing Director, with Douglas Murei Kaibos ascending to the helm of the taking over the Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency as the agency’s Chief Executive Officer.
Joe Owaka Ager is President Ruto’s Secretary of Governance with former Deputy Inspector General of Police Noor Yaror Gabow landing appointment as as the Consul General in charge of the Kenyan Consulate in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
Dr. Silvester Okumu Kasuku was appointed as the Advisor of Governance with Maj. (Rtd) Ali Mahat Somane named Advisor, Security Affairs, Office of the National Security Advisor.
Ruto's appointments, 2027 polls & restless Mount Kenya
The appointment are meant to streamline government operations and support President Ruto in delivering his campaign pledges.
