Starehe Member of Parliament Charles Njagua alias Jaguar will spend one more night in custody, a Nairobi court has directed.
The MP who was arraigned in court over his xenophobic comment will be held at the Kileleshwa Police Station as he awaits a ruling on his bail application.
The court adjourned on Thursday morning directing that a ruling on MP Njagua's bail application will be made on Friday.

Lawyers on the prosecution side asked Magistrate Sinkiyian Tobiko to deny the MP bail arguing that he was already in the process of organizing a mob to invade business premises withing his jurisdiction to flash out traders of foreign origin.
They further argued that he could intimidate witnesses, given that most of them come from his constituency, where his alleged crime was committed.
Defense lawyers argued that denying Mr Njagua bail would amount to violating his constitutional rights.
The MP was arrested on Wednesday afternoon at Parliament buildings and immediately transported to the Nairobi Area Police Station where he spent Wednesday night.

Present in court to show solidarity with the MP were Lang'ata legislator Nixon Korir as well as Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru.
Musician Kevin Mbuvi alias Bahati was also seen in the courtroom as proceedings for the case went on.
