20 November 2016 at 13:37A man has been docked by the Ogun State Police for allegedly bathing his female neighbour with hot water following an altercation.
The Ogun State Police Command has arraigned a 31-year-old man, Victor Obi, for allegedly pouring hot water on his neighbour, Juliet Omoigui, during an altercation.
News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Obi, who lives at 13, Adekanbi Street, Iyana-Iyesi, Ota area of the state, was docked at the Ota Magistrates’ Court on a charge of assault.
According to the prosecutor, Corporal Abdulkareem Mustapha, had committed the offense at about 1.30 p.m. along Obasanjo Road, Onipanu, Ota, leaving the victim with serious injuries on her body.
When the charge was read to him, Obi pleaded not guilty and the Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Funke Odubanjo, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum, before adjourning the case till December 13, 2016, for hearing.
