But despite the huddle and the fatality of the cancer, Janet Kanini fought the cancer with all her might with Kenyan celebrities rallying behind her through a grand fundraiser concert.

And in February 2016 she announced that she was cancer free. “My dear friends, relatives, colleagues, supporters, prayer warriors. I have wonderful news! Our prayers have been answered! I am redeemed from the affliction of cancer!” She posted.

Unfortunately, a year after she was announced that she was free of cancer, the scourge which we thought she was cured of reappeared aggressively and claimed her life.
