Maraga Exposes How Boinnet Disappointed Top Judges

Finally spills the beans

Chief Justice David Maraga has now accused Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet of ignoring calls by Supreme Court judges to beef up their personal security.

While addressing journalists, Maraga mentioned that though the lives of members of the Judiciary were in danger, IG Boinnet had refused to act.

The CJ noted that the police boss had ignored their phone calls.

“JSC notes with dismay that the Inspector-General of Police, who is expected to provide security to all Government facilities, has repeatedly ignored calls to act, exposing Judicial officers, property, and litigants to danger,” he said.

At the same time, Maraga divulged that some politicians have negatively profile judges on social media.

CJ Maraga highlighted that if anything harmful happens to the judges the leaders will be held responsible.

“In view of these unfortunate developments, the JSC would like to state that we unreservedly condemn these mindless acts of aggression against the Judiciary and reiterate that if anything happens to the individual judges, staff or their families, those making inciting statements will be personally held responsible,” he noted.
