Commenting on the IEBC database hacking claims, which the IEBC vehemently denied, the team has reckoned that its primary role is to merely observe and record the observation
“The allegation by NASA has been responded to by the IEBC. So it is important that we wait for what will come out that scrutiny. The observers did not observe the hacking,” EAC Observers team head of mission Prof. Edward B. Rugumayo said.
The team has urged Raila Odinga and other disgruntled candidates to use the right channels to resolve the matters around elections.
The mission has cautioned the media against speculating, arguing that some questions posed by the media are skewed to a particular direction.

“The system has been strong enough to secure votes. I urge all leaders to wait for the final results to be announced by the IEBC,” Kerry said.
