Wiper leader and Raila Odingas running mate Kalonzo Musyoka has been accused of lying about former President Mwai Kibakis action.
During a campaign in Kitui County last week, Kalonzo alleged that Retired Chief of General Staff Jeremiah Kianga was forced to resign by the former Head of State and did not finish his term.
According to the former vice president, Kianga was compelled to step down to prevent him from ascending to power in 2013.
However, the retired chief of staff has lashed out at Kalonzo in what he termed as deceiving the public while trying to seek votes.
"Kalonzo said I didn't complete my term as Chief of General Staff during Kibaki's régime, but that is not correct. I even served two more years in that position with the request of the then Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces," Kianga stated.
He disclosed that Kalonzo has been courting him to join NASA adding that he is not interested.

"Kalonzo has occasionally asked me in public to abandon Jubilee because Kibaki didn't help him ascend to power when he was Vice President.
"I had to tell him off because there will be more benefits in supporting the government than being in the Opposition," Kianga affirmed.
