Barely a day after NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga was endorsed by the Maasai community in Suswa Narok, County, President Uhuru Kenyatta has now decided to go back in Narok County on Friday in a bid to consolidate votes from the region.

The President, who is the head of Jubilee party, was scheduled to hold a final rally in Uhuru Park, Nairobi County on Friday before the plans emerged.

It’s not clear whether it was part of Kenyatta’s itinerary or the move was urgently made after a section f Maasai endorsed Odinga barely four days to the Election.

Led by Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye, Maasai leaders announced at Suswa grounds that they would back the former Prime Minister on grounds that he had interests of the community at heart especially land matters.

“As Maa speaking tribes we have made up our minds about who to vote for on Tuesday next week. And that is Raila Amolo Odinga of the National Super Alliance," Nkedianye told a gathering on Wednesday.

The Maasai bloc will be crucial in next week’s election with both candidates looking to tilt the odds in their favour.
