WCB President and singer Diamond Platnumz’s manager Babu Tale has finally explained what will happen to the scheduled Kenyan shows, after the Tanzanian government banned him from performing in Tanzania and outside countries.

Speaking to eDaily, Tale insisted that the three concerts slated for Embu, Mombasa and Nairobi will all continue as planned.

The manager went on to say that the WCB management will reach out to Tanzania’s Music Regulatory Board popularly known as (BASATA) for negotiations to have the ban lifted.

He added that if there would be consequences, they would deal with them in due time.

That is our task. We will reach out to them and see how we can meet halfway. Meanwhile, we will handle the consequences when we get there,” said Babu Tale.

Diamond and Rayvanny banned from performing

This comes after the Tanzanian government through BASATA banned Diamond Platnumz and Rayvanny from performing in and out of Tanzania indefinitely, after disobeying a ban placed on their hit single ‘Mwanza’ which they performed at Wasafi Festival in Mwanza City over the weekend.

The board accused the musicians of being disrespectful and insolent after they performed the banned song.

Mwanza was banned from being played on any TV and Radio stations in Tanzania or being performed in concerts.
