Meet Kenyan Hollywood actor who made Sh25 million from first movie

The actor who had come to conduct a creative forum for seasoned and upcoming actors said that he used the money to buy a house in the United States.

“Acting pays. After doing Tears of the Sun which was my first movie, I bought a house. I think I made $250,000. We were on the set for five months but it was my biggest gig,” said Benjamin.

The actor who was speaking to Hot 96 breakfast show hosted by Jeff Koinange and Comedian Jalang’o revealed that it took them 5 months onset shooting, but it was his biggest gig.

“They say when you find a job you love, you will never work for a day. When I am on the set I never notice time drifting but when you give me a job flipping burgers that's another case,” he said.

Benjamin Alfred Onyango is an actor and producer known for movies like God’s Not Dead, Inception, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Tribal Councilman 2 among other movies.
