An honor that was awarded to only 5 African players that included Ghanas Abedi Pele Ayew, Cameroons Roger Milla, Nigerias Jay-Jay Okocha, Senegals El Hadji Diouf and Liberias George Weah.
This football legend who has played as an attacking midfielder for Eintracht Frankfurt, Bolton Wanderers and Paris Saint-Germain recently toured Kenya for a different sport all together, golf.
Okocha was in Kenya for Barclays Kenya Golf Open which kicked off on March 16 with the pro-am challenge.

“The reception from Kenya and Barclays Bank in particular has been overwhelming; I was really humbled from my experience playing golf yesterday. I have a new found respect professional golf player.” Okacha said of his experience at the tournatment.
Of course 'The Kenyan experience' wouldn't be complete without a night out and the legend went out to party at popular upmarket joint Kiza Lounge, surprising revellers there who were excited to see a legend in their midst.
The former Super Eagle captain seemed right at home and seemed to have a great time there with guys from Barclays Golf Open, Coke Studio Africa,Mike Ezu and fans.
