Churchill show comedian Smart Joker speaks on joining politics

Churchill show comedian Michael Omuka popularly known as Smart Joker has for the first time spoken on joining politics.

The comedian said that he will join politics because his people have been asking him to be their leader and he was considering vying for a seat in 2022.

However, the funny man refused to declare which position he was going to vie for in 2022 because it was too early and he has a lot of things to do.

He added that he currently works with young people in his home county in a number of talent nurturing groups.

Smart Joker is not the first comedian who has declared interest in vying for a political position in the next General Election.

Jalang’o

Comedian and radio host Jalang’o in August last year announced that this would quit radio in the next five years to focus on giving back to the society.

I am 35 years now with my next birthday on the 27th of April. These are probably my last five years on radio. I will be 40 years then, what else will I be doing? Let me give back and that why i will be vying,” Said Jalang'o.

He added that he chose to study an undergraduate degree in Community Development because it will help him in taking care of community matters.

I choose community development because as MP for Lang’ata constituency I have to be able to take care of community matters. I am graduating in 2019, it will be lit for days. The day I graduate this town will not sleep. I have achieved all these (success) without having a degree, imagine what am about to do once I get it” added Jalang'o.
