About one and a half years later, the German public international broadcaster promoted her and Edith move to Berlin permanently.
TV anchor's boyfriend Timothy Mbugua keeps the romance alive as the two struggle with a long-distance relationship
After winning the first Edition of ‘The Presenter’ Edith Kimani got a job with KTN where she worked up until the day Deutsche Welle (DW) came calling.
She made the announcement in a series of tweets which read “My last year and a half with @dwnews as the E.A correspondent has given me incredible insight into who we are/could be as Africans.Time now for another step. Permanent move to Berlin as a news Anchor with @dwnews .Greatful. Excited. Ready. Bis bald."
Despite being miles away, the two seem to keep their romance alive in a situation most couples chose to break up due to how hard long-distance relationships can be. In fact it’s safe to say that this couple is killing it when it comes to having a healthy long distance relationship. And their love story is proof that though hard, these kinds of relationships can work and people shouldn’t be too quick check out of the relationship just because their partner is moving away.
The couple has been keeping their love flame on by sending each other messages to make each other feel super special. And as Edith turned a year older yesterday, Timothy sent out this heart-warming message to her:
“I still get butterflies even though I've seen you a hundred times. The happiest of birthdays to you! #WCW #WCE”
