Kenyans blast singer Juliani for endorsing Eric Omondi’s controversial video

Juliani amekarangwa

“Uuuuuuuui concurring ama conquering?? Rudishia wazazi school fees ya English classes nitakuongezea ya muziki na Kichinese. Eric Omondi kuja uone zile vitu unafanyisha ndugu yako”, one fan said.

Eric Omondi shared a video where he was swimming with naked children. The video has landed the comedian in big trouble after the CEO Kenya Films and Classification Board Ezekiel Mutua said Eric’s act is a serious crime.

Following the video, Ezekiel has called out on the parents of the children seen in the video to take legal action against the comedian.

“Exploitation of children is a serious crime. This is how these so called celebrities end up molesting children. No advertiser should touch Eric Omondi unless they are also perverts. That video of him nude with children is crass!” he said on his twitter.

He added that the comedian’s video has violated Kenya Film Classification Board's classification guidelines under Cap 222 but also the Children's Act.

Apart from the Kenya Film Classification Board's classification, Consumer Federation of Kenya (Cofek) have also condemned the video.

Kenyans have also reacted differently to the controversial video. Some have taken it as a serious matter while others believe it was one of those stupid videos by the funnyman.

After wide criticism, the comedian has been forced to apologize to Kenyans.
