Society expectations always puts politicians on the run in the quest to live an expensive life that will earn him/her respect.
Most Politicians are believed to be living on the high end of life, in the most expensive and posh estates in Nairobi. Others have invested in expensive structures back at their rural home.
Today we sample a few politicians who own the most expensive Houses in Kenya.

Raila Odinga
The former Prime Minister and the Leader of the NASA Coalition tops the list of politicians who owns the most expensive houses in Kenya.
In 2014, Odinga put up a Sh1 billion hill-side palatial residence in Riat Kisumu, branded “Raila’s State House”.
According to Insiders who have managed to pay a visit to the former prime Minister, the house has a total of 74 rooms with 10 bedrooms, four expansive kitchens, two main conference rooms, two small conference rooms a collective many offices.
In addition, the KSh 1 billion house has an Olympic size swimming pool, several Jacuzzis and a helipad big enough to have two choppers landing at a go.

At some point, the PM was under pressure from family members to convert it into a hotel facility but he stuck his ground on the home idea. His will has prevailed to date.
Mike Sonko
The flamboyant Governor owns a magnificent home in Machakos established at a cost of Sh150 Million.
Despite the Expensive House in Machakos his rural home, Sonko also owns a posh house in Runda Nairobi.

William Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto, the second powerful man in Kenya lives in the expensive suburbs of Nairobi where money is never a problem.
Ruto owns a super expensive house in Karen established at a cost of Sh500 Million, that has two swimming pools,a Jacuzzi, specious playground, an office block, garage, and staff residence.
Apart from the Nairobi Home, DP Ruto is building a plush, multi-million-shilling residence in Eldoret town, complete with a private airstrip.
The stately home is estimated to sit on 20 acres, part of 700 acres bought by the DP in Moiben constituency.

A Chinese construction company has already laid the foundation for the main house, a guest wing, two swimming pools, a library, gym and other lavish facilities.
Evans Kidero
Former Nairobi Governor Dr. Evans Kidero owns a house in Muthaiga estate one of the Most Expensive suburbs in Nairobi.
William Kabogo
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo is another politician who is not shy to flaunt his many assets. The governor owns an armoured car,a chopper and several homes. One of his homes is located in Mombasa,where only a chopper and few cars can enter.

For starters, Kabogo is one of the richest former governors around. He has wealth built over time through sheer determination and perhaps hard work.
Aden Duale
Parliament majority leader Aden Duale also owns a home in Runda.The house,which costs not less than Sh80 million,was acquired shortly after the politician joined the government.
Governor Hassan Joho
The Mombasa governor is irresistibly rich and never shys away from flaunting his wealth from the cars he drives to the way he dresses. And you can bet that his residence is as well simply dazzling.
