Tanzanian musician Harmonize has responded to Willy Paul after he was blamed for ‘using’ Willy Paul.
While speaking to Hot 96, the ‘Show me’ star said the success of ‘Kwangwaru’ overshadowed that of ‘Pilipili’ adding that it could be the reason why Willy Paul felt ignored.
He also mentioned that at that particular time he had several music projects he was pushing online. Harmonize stated that ‘Kwangwaru’ was performing well on Youtube and ended taking away the shine from Pilipili.
“At that time we released Pilipili remix, we had many other projects that I was pushing online. I had first released ‘Pilipili’ remix and thereafter shot a video of Kwangwaru .Kwangwaru was doing well on YouTube and as a result took away the shine from ‘Pilipili”
He further mentioned that, “Tanzanians love it Willy Paul probably had a lot of expectations from the song that could be the problem”
Earlier in an interview with a Tanzanian media outlet, the ‘Kwangwaru’ singer had said that he’d rather be approached personally when he is not honoring a pledge as agreed.
Willy Paul and Harmonize did a collabo dubbed ‘Pilipili’. The song was released three weeks ago and it has so far garnered 738K views on Youtube.
On April 16 Willy Paul through his social media, passed his gratitude to the WCB family but in his post passed a message of dissatisfaction. His post read:
“This is so sad! Honestly speaking, let's not be people who are just after using others. Let's learn to support. And if we agree to support then let's do it whole heartedly... it's a small world we are living in you might be at the top today but remember. Tomorrow is not guaranteed.. learn to live with people! Before I forget, thank you to the whole for letting me feature in the song GOD BLESS YOU ALL."
