Mzee Abdul Juma, father to WCB President Diamond Platnumz lives the hand to mouth lifestyle basing on his daily hustles that put food on the table.

Mzee Juma who parted ways with Diamond’s mother (Sandrah Dangote) at a time he (Diamond) was joining form one disclosed that he sells Mitumba shoes in order feed his family.

In an interview with Global TV, Mzee narrated that despite his children being successful people in the society, they rarely bother to help him meet his daily needs.

“Siku hizi na kwensa kule sokoni nitafute viatu nije nisafishe kisha niende zangu mtaa kuuza kisha maisha yanaenda. Sasa hivi hamna mtu anayenipa msaada kivile, labda tu kutokee jambo kama vile naumwa ndo labda watatoa msaada wao lakini kusema kuwa labda baada ya wiki au mwezi wanatuma kitu kidogo kuwa hichi cha baba hamna. Watoto hanipii ile huduma ka baba yao, na ni Imani kuwa walisema kuwa baba atabaki tu kuwa baba hamna msaada” said Mzee Abdul.

Mzee Abdul who had been accused of being a deadbeat father, re-married years after separating with Bi Sandrah Dangote and sired other two kids.

Make Peace

Mzee Abdul mentioned that he will appreciated if his kids reach a point of making peace with him and probably put up a business for him.

“Mimi kama mzazi nafsi yangu inaniuma sana , kuna watu ambao anawasaidi hata hawajui, na yeye kama niligombana na mama yake kwenye nasfi yake haijui inaweza ikawa neno la ukweli au uongo , lakini naomba mkitapata nafasi mmuhoji pia aseme ukweli, na kama kuna uwezekano anisaidie hamna mtu asiyemsamehe mtu, mwenyezi mungu vile vile anasamehe mtu aliyekosa na pia wananchi pia naomba wasinifikiria tofauti na vitu ambavyo si vya kweli” said Mzee Abdul.

He also asked his son to find a place in his heart to forgive him, so that people can stop judging him as bad person any time they see him on the streets.

Mzee Abdul is the father to Diamond and singer Queen Darleen.
