Musicians Mayonde and Yvonne Darcq land new jobs at KTN

Mayonde and Yvonne Darcq to grace the screens

The two will be hosting a new program on KTN dubbed 'I Can Sing' that will air soon.

'I Can Sing' is a new reality program showcasing talent that will air every Friday at 8pm.

The two music lovers will grace the screens beginning March 30, 2018.

Music journeys

Yvonne started singing at 13 and currently her music is spread across the world. The multi-cultured singer’s genre of music is Afro Pop with a touch of R-n-B

Mayonde begun to sing while still a young girl at a church choir. Apart from singing, she is also an actress and a good guitarist. She won ‘Best Album of Bottom-line Kenya’ for her album dubbed Magic in the Air in 2016.

She also represented Kenya at the 2017 World Youth in Egypt in the recording and live performance with entertainers from around the world.

Recorded audios

The Moi family-owned media station has been advertising the reality show for a while. Contestants share their recorded audios through messaging app WhatsApp for a chance to take part in the hyped show.

Will it give Coke Studio Africa a run for their money? Only time will tell.
