Capital Fm Presenter in trouble with his employers after sensitive post

More trouble for the famous media personality

In his latest comment in a WhatsApp group, Joe Muchiri wished rape for a famous female Violinist for saying she would not vote for Nyashinki in the MTV Awards.

His employers at Capital Fm have issued a statement regarding the sensitive statement made by their employee.

According to the Capital FM Management, they don’t support gender based violence and therefore they will deal with the matter with the seriousness it deserves.

“Capital Group Limited has noted with great Concern Joe W. Muchiris’s inappropriate social media posts. We would like to make it abundantly clear that we do not support or condone gender based violence or any form of violence. We are therefore dealing with the matter with the seriousness it deserves.” reads the Capital FM Statement

The female violinist had posted on her social media that she appreciates South Africa’s Nasty C and Nigeria Wizkid more and she rather vote for them than Kenyan Nyashinski.

Social media Users, went ham on the Capital FM producer asking his employers to take action against his reckless comment.

However, Muchiri took to his Twitter handle to apologize to the violinist stating that anger made him react that way.

“I personally apologized to Miss Wanjiru Maina for what I said. I will say it also in a public forum. It was stupid of me & in bad taste. A few seconds of anger made me say what I said. I know I can’t take it back but I asked her for forgiveness & she thankfully accepted. I have no excuse for what I said. I am not perfect nor claim to be. We all screw up sometimes it’s life.
