TV queen Joey Muthengi has spoken on reports that she was fired from the S.K. Macharia owned Citizen TV.
Speaking during her last 10 over 10 show, Ms. Muthengi said that different things had been said as the reason for her departure from the Television station.
“So this is my last 10 over 10 show, you might have read things. I just want to clear the air and hopefully I don’t have to say this again,” said Joey.
She went ahead to say that the past few days were hard for her but the Royal Media Services (RMS) was family to her and people should not believe everything they read on blogs.
“I also just want to thank the management of Royal Media Services for your support, your mentorship over the past few years that I have been here. Don’t believe everything you read on the blogs, this is my family. Past couple of days have been tough for me but it’s been a lot of kindness and support and love from everyone,” said Joey Muthengi.
Her words came after several blogs ran stories that she had been fired from Citizen TV for featuring in betting firm Betin’s advertisement with former Kenyan international footballer McDonald Mariga.
It was reported RMS management was not impressed by her choice to work with their competitors.
Royal Media Services is the mother company to betting company Shabiki.com.
