"I have been a leader all my life and it won’t be a challenge for me to lead the people of Kampala as their Lord Mayor. I have all it takes to become Kampala mayor in the next general elections and put him Kampala city to its standards,” The Nile post quoted the singer.

According to the Valu Valu singer, he had no plans to vie for any political seat, but the people of Kampala have been putting pressure on him to take the city leadership, and he has now agreed to take the job.

I did not have the idea but it came from the people of Kampala themselves. They say I’m the right person for the job and so why not,” said Jose Chameleone.

He added that he will vie as an independent candidate because political parties cause division among people.
