Diamond wins his battle against Magufuli’s government, new statement issued

Big win for the WCB CEO

On Tuesday Diamond in company of his three managers Sallam SK, Babu Tale and Mkubwa Fella held a closed door meeting with the Minister in charge of Information, Arts, Sports and Culture Dr. Mwekyembe and Juliana Sonza with efforts to resolve their their diffrences. Official from the Music Regulatory Board were also in attendance.

In the statement Diamond has agreed to work closely with the Assistant Minister Dr. Juliana Sonza after resolving their differences.

“Diamond alimhakikishia Wazuiri Mwaykembe kushirikiana kwa Karibu na Naibu Waziri Sonza an uongozi mzima wa Wizara katika kusimamia maadili ya kazi za Sanaa na kuwa mfano bora wa wasanii mchini katika kulinda utamaduni wa Tanzania. Naye Waziri Mwakyembe alisisitiza kuwa serekali  haina ugomvi wowote na wanasana nchini bali ina tatizo na mmonyoko wa maadili ya kitanzania nchini na kwamba kila mwanasanaa ana  wajibu kulinda maadili ambayo ni sehemu ya utamaduni wetu. (Diamond promised to work hand in hand with the Assistant minster Sonza to ensure that they don’t clash against in future. The Minster for Information Mwekyembe also stated that the government is not fighting artists but it’s just concerned with the culture of its people )” reads part of  the statement

In the agreement, the government resolved that Diamond’s songs Waka Waka featuring Rick Ross and Halleluyah will be allowed on TV during the water shade period.

“Naye Naibu Waziri Shonza alisisitiza umuhimu wa wanasanaa kufuata utaratibu kwa kuwasilishawa kazi zao Mapema Kwenye Mamlaka husika ili kuepusha matattizo baadaye. Alilisistiza kuwasuala la kulinda maadili ni endelevu na wakati umefika sasa kwa bodi ya Filamu Tanzania na TRCA kukamilisha zoezi la kuonanisha kanuni za madaraja ya kazi sa sannaa ili kazi zinazofaa kuonekana na watu wazima peke yake zianze kuangaliwa saa 6:00 usiku- saa 12;00 asubuhi (their songs to avoid clashing with the law in future. She added that all songs that don’t fit the general public should be placed under that water shade period so that kids don’t watch them” reads Part of the statement
