On Wednesday, self-proclaimed President of Single Mothers Esther Akoth aka Akothee caused drama after visiting Parliament rocking a mini-skirt.

Legislators protested that her dressing was not in line with the standing orders, forcing her to tie a “leso” around her waist before being allowed in.

Addressing the stand-off, the Abebo singer defended herself saying that it is her legs that are longer than the skirt she wore.

Adding that “they dressed me in a lesso today when I visited parliament to invite all the members of Parliament for the official launch of Akothee Foundation. Parliament came to a complete stop! Akothee ulikosea wapi”   

Akothee was in the company of nominated Member of Parliament David Ole Sankok.
