Tanzanian song bird Nandy has said that she doesn't regret not signing for top Tanzanian Record label WCB.
Speaking in an interview, the Njiwa singer said that she was part of the Wasafi team, but was not signed to the Diamond Platnumz owned label.
She went on to reveal that she left Wasafi after she auditioned for Tecno Own the Stage, a singing competition that was held in Nigeria, and was taken in as a contestant and later on emerged 1st Runners up in the competition.
After her return to Tanzania, she went on to join the Tanzania House of Talent popularly known as THT before she kicked off her solo career as an artiste.
Nandy mentioned that she does not regret not signing as a Wasafi artist because they are all doing good in their careers.
“Sijawai kusainiwa na Wasafi but nilikuwepo pale and then nikaenda Tecno Own the Stage but nilivyorudi nikaingia THT. Sijutii kwa sababu we are all doing good. Wasafi wanafanya vizuri, hata mimi nafanya vizuri on my own,” said Nandy.
During the interview, Nandy who was in Kenya disclosed that she has her own tour planned in Kenya that will begin in a few months’ time, adding that she would not brand it Nandy Festival like she does in her home country, Tanzania.
Not joining WCB
Last year, Nandy responded to the rumors that she was set to be the newly signed artist under Diamond’s Wasafi Record Label.
She made it clear that she was not planning to join WCB and the reports were just rumours that came about after they were spotted together (Nandy and Diamond) a while back in a Dubai Concert.
